Ross Licata
On
August 4, 2003 Ross Licata was sworn in as the Chief of Police
for the City of Lighthouse Point by Mayor Fred Schorr. Chief Licata
began his law enforcement career with the Delray Beach Police
Department where he served for over 26 years. During that time
he served in patrol, criminal investigations and community policing
ultimately rising through the ranks to the position of District
Commander where he oversaw a Community Patrol District and the
Department’s Support Services Division. Chief Licata holds
a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from Palm
Beach Atlantic University and is a graduate from the 197th Session
of the FBI National Academy, the Senior Management Institute for
Police (Kennedy School of Government, Harvard) and the 10th Command
Officers Development Course (Southern Police Institute, University
of Louisville). Chief Licata is a member of the Broward County
Chief’s of Police Association, Florida Police Chief’s
and International Association of Chief’s of Police.

Patrol Commander
Charles Marchitello
Commander
Marchitello began his law enforcement career as a police officer
with the City of New York where he served from 1971 to 1976. In
1976 he relocated to South Florida where he began serving in the
City of Lighthouse Point. Commander Marchitello has been serving
the Lighthouse Point community for over 30 years. During the course
of his career he served as Police Officer, Detective, Corporal,
Sergeant and currently serves as Patrol Division Commander. He
currently oversees all patrol operations including community policing,
traffic enforcement, marine patrols, special events and crossing
guard functions. In addition, Commander Marchitello serves as
the City of Lighthouse Point Emergency Operations Coordinator
and the Professional Standards Commander and oversees all internal
affairs investigations involving allegations of employee/officer
misconduct. Commander Marchitello holds an Associate of Arts Degrees
in Criminal Justice from the Broward Community College and a Marketing
Management degree from the New York City Community College. He
is also a graduate of the Executive Management program (University
of Louisville, Southern Police Institute).

Investigations Commander
Mike Oh
Commander
Mike Oh began his law enforcement career with the Lighthouse Point
Police Department in 1991. During his tenure in Lighthouse Point
he has served as a Patrol Officer, Corporal, Sergeant and Training
Sergeant. Currently he serves as Commander of Investigations and
supervises the Detective Bureau, Crime Prevention Office, Community
Volunteers and Communications. Commander Oh holds an Associate
of Arts degree from Hillsborough Community College and is a graduate
of the 229th Session of the FBI National Academy, Center for Advanced
Criminal Justice Executive Leadership Program, Florida Atlantic
University and the FBI Florida Executive Development Program.
Commander Oh is an associate member of the Broward County Chief’s
of Police Association.

Training Sergeant
David Nuce
Sergeant
David Nuce began his career with the Lighthouse Point Police Department
in 1970. He has served in the Patrol Division as an officer and
patrol sergeant and was assigned as the Department’s first
detective. Sergeant Nuce served as the Department Training &
Planning Sergeant for more than 30 years and currently assists
as the lead driving instructor at the Broward Police Academy.
Sergeant Nuce was instrumental in selecting and implementing the
Police Departments first multi-user computer based records management
system and assists in managing department technology and software
applications. In addition to overseeing the training section,
Sergeant Nuce conducts inspections, oversees the hiring process
of police applicants and ensures department members are in compliance
with FDLE training requirements.

Accreditation Manager
James Wright
James
Wright has been in law enforcement for more than 35 years. Jim
grew up in suburban Atlanta and obtained an Associates Degree
in Police Science from DeKalb Community College. He began his
career in law enforcement at the age of 18, as a records clerk
for the Atlanta Police Department. In 1971 he became a sworn officer
and worked in the patrol division and tactical anti-robbery squad.
As a member of the 129th TacConFlt, Georgia Air National Guard
Jim was NCOIC of the Air Police Unit. In 1975 Jim moved to sunny
South Florida and joined the Fort Lauderdale Police Department.
Jim served Fort Lauderdale in patrol, canine, the beach problems
unit, motorcycle officer and traffic speed enforcement before
being transferred to the Chief’s Office and promoted to
Sergeant. Jim served as Staff Inspector and Accreditation Manager
leading the Fort Lauderdale Police Department through initial
accreditation with the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement
Accreditation (CFA) in 1998 and re-accreditation with CFA and
Recognition with the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement
Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) in 2001. After more than 28 years Jim retired
from the Fort Lauderdale Police Department. Jim Wright currently
serves as the Administrative Officer for Lighthouse Point Police
Department where his primary focus is on accreditation and policy
development. In 2004 and 2007 he spearheaded the Department's
initiatives to become re-accredited.

Chief Property Clerk
Lenny Colasuonno
In
July of 1998, Lenny Colasuonno joined the Lighthouse Point Police
Department as the Department’s Chief Property Clerk. Prior
to coming to Lighthouse Point, Chief Clerk Colasuonno served for
over 20 years with the New York City Port Authority Police at
JFK International Airport in New York and spent five years at
the Gtech Corporation serving in a security role.
