Ross Licata

August 4, 2003 Ross Licata was sworn in as the Chief of Police
for the City of Lighthouse Point by Mayor Fred Schorr. Chief Licata
began his law enforcement career with the Delray Beach Police
Department where he served for over 26 years. During that time
he served in patrol, criminal investigations and community policing
ultimately rising through the ranks to the position of District
Commander where he oversaw a Community Patrol District and the
Department’s Support Services Division. Chief Licata holds
a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from Palm
Beach Atlantic University and is a graduate from the 197th Session
of the FBI National Academy, the Senior Management Institute for
Police (Kennedy School of Government, Harvard) and the 10th Command
Officers Development Course (Southern Police Institute, University
of Louisville). Chief Licata is a member of the Broward County
Chief’s of Police Association, Florida Police Chief’s
and International Association of Chief’s of Police.

Commander
Mike Oh began his law enforcement career with the Lighthouse Point
Police Department in 1991. During his tenure in Lighthouse Point
he has served as a Patrol Officer, Marine Patrol Officer, Corporal, Road Patrol Sergeant, Training
Sergeant, and Commander of Investigations. Currently he serves as Commander of Road Patrol. Commander Oh holds an Associate
of Arts degree from Hillsborough Community College and is a graduate
of the 229th Session of the FBI National Academy, Center for Advanced
Criminal Justice Executive Leadership Program, Florida Atlantic
University and the FBI Florida Executive Development Program.
Commander Oh is an associate member of the Broward County Chief’s
of Police Association.

Investigations Lieutenant
Jack Vaccaro
Lieutenant Jack Vaccaro began his law enforcement career with the Lighthouse Point
Police Department in 1992. During his career, he has served as a Patrol Officer, Marine Patrol Officer, Community Policing Officer, Patrol Sergeant, and Training Sergeant. Lt. Vaccaro currently serves as Commander of Investigations and supervises the Detective Bureau, Crime Prevention, Community Volunteers, Property and Evidence, Training Division, and Communications. Lieutenant Vaccaro is a graduate of the 249th Session of the FBI National Academy and the Center for Advanced Criminal Justice Executive Leadership Program, Florida Atlantic University.

Accreditation Manager
James Wright
James
Wright has been in law enforcement for more than 35 years. Jim
grew up in suburban Atlanta and obtained an Associates Degree
in Police Science from DeKalb Community College. He began his
career in law enforcement at the age of 18, as a records clerk
for the Atlanta Police Department. In 1971 he became a sworn officer
and worked in the patrol division and tactical anti-robbery squad.
As a member of the 129th TacConFlt, Georgia Air National Guard
Jim was NCOIC of the Air Police Unit. In 1975 Jim moved to sunny
South Florida and joined the Fort Lauderdale Police Department.
Jim served Fort Lauderdale in patrol, canine, the beach problems
unit, motorcycle officer and traffic speed enforcement before
being transferred to the Chief’s Office and promoted to
Sergeant. Jim served as Staff Inspector and Accreditation Manager
leading the Fort Lauderdale Police Department through initial
accreditation with the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement
Accreditation (CFA) in 1998 and re-accreditation with CFA and
Recognition with the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement
Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) in 2001. After more than 28 years Jim retired
from the Fort Lauderdale Police Department. Jim Wright currently
serves as the Administrative Officer for Lighthouse Point Police
Department where his primary focus is on accreditation and policy
development. In 2004 and 2007 he spearheaded the Department's
initiatives to become re-accredited.

Chief Property Clerk
Lenny Colasuonno
In
July of 1998, Lenny Colasuonno joined the Lighthouse Point Police
Department as the Department’s Chief Property Clerk. Prior
to coming to Lighthouse Point, Chief Clerk Colasuonno served for
over 20 years with the New York City Port Authority Police at
JFK International Airport in New York and spent five years at
the Gtech Corporation serving in a security role.
